I've just finished making this bug box for the garden and am looking for some pine cones to fill it with. Not too many.

Does anyone have any knocking around on their garden or can recommend a species of tree that is dropping cones at the moment or in the next few months?

As usual I'm happy to pay postage to anyone who is willing to send some.

Also could someone recommend a shop that sells bamboo lawn edging cheaply. A friend at work said she bought some and used it for a bee hotel. I usually use cane but always have the short bits left over. The store she bought the edging from doesn't seem to sell it anymore.
