I have 2 raised beds which i have crammed full of different flavoured or scented herbs, mainly mints and thymes. I was looking for the chocolate mint but couldnt find any this year. i did have the ginger mint which i also thought smelled gingery, but sadly, whilst all the others have really prospered, the ginger mint has deteriorated into a stalk with virtually no leaves. I have now discovered why and as a friend commented (in jest i hope!)the slug probably tastes nice.
