I went to Wilkos yesterday expecting to pick up some Pink Fir Apple seed spuds, but they only have a very limited range of varieties stocked this year. Anyone got any ideas where I can find some? I'm only after a few tubers for my grafting experiments. Do you think the Pound Shops will sell them?

Never seen em in the pound shops John. Got some from Groves, but they don't have them in their mail order catalog.

Want me to have a wander to see if they got any left? :)

Don't worry thanks Zigs, I don't need them right away. I am sure I saw some in a GC somewhere, might chance my luck in the 99p shop :)

I 'think' Home Bargains might of had them when I was there about a week ago. Their spuds are 8 for 99p.

You only need a couple if growing them using the 'drain pipe' method.

It used to be really difficult finding them years ago so I used to keep a few to grow again the following year (I know I shouldn't have). Just been to Poundland and Poundworld all they have is Kind Edwards.

Got the spuds today, many Thanks @Zigs :) There seems to be something else in the package, are they magic beans?

If anybody else is looking for PFA, Wyevale are selling packs of 10 for £3.99 - what a rip off!

Sorry, I got that price wrong above (now corrected), it's £3.99 for 10 tubers at Wyevale!
