Put some old drain connectors round one plant as it came up,





Blimey they were tightly packed.


Got a reasonable amount from 1 plant though



Don't know what the round red ones were, came up from a tuber that was missed.

 

Looks a good amount Ziggy, novel idea.
I've only dug two roots of mine as yet and they have not been very good.
I only dug a couple from around the edge of the plot.

I'm hoping that the ones in the middle are better as they will have received more water.

 

Cheers Pete, I was going to use them to earth up around the tomatoes but saw that come up & thought i'd give it a go.

Will use something wider next time.

Only dug these for the show, still got plenty in the ground.

We`ve been cropping them here for the last 4 to 5 weeks.
