Starting to assemble a seed list for things that will be "fun" for next year. I appreciate that this thread could get a bit carried away!

[IMG] ALLIUM CHRISTOPHII Not sure where I would put this (Mauve/Purple not in the colour scheme), but I think the flowers look interesting.
    [IMG] Bomarea caldasii
    [IMG] Cestrum parqui
    [IMG] CUCUBALUS (SILENE) BACCIFER
    [IMG] DIERAMA COSMOS
[IMG] GLORIOSA LUTEA as an addition to my Rothschild one
    [IMG] LAPAGERIA ROSEA (Plant World)
    Lapageria rosea
    [IMG] LYSICHITON CAMTSCHATCENSIS RBS0240
[IMG] PHYTOLACCA AMERICANA Not sure if this is the same as the Pokeweed that Shiney kindly said he would keep seed for me, or if it would complement Shiney's?

I should have seeds for this somewhere...............

Nice! I grow B.hirtella which bloomed in its second season.

      Another interesting choice!

Hopefully mine will bloom next year..............

Make sure that the seed is fresh.

My for fun next year includes Anigozanthos manglesii and viridis, Iris chrysographs and Markhamia lutea.[/quote]

Iris chrysographs is on my short-list, but I'm going to have to look the others up ... I knew this thread would be risky!!

That perhaps rules out the normal suspects ... might have to use a supplier like Strange Wonderful Things or somesuch ?

Definitely. I bought twice from elsewhere and out of a total of 40/50 seeds got three to germinate. But they're ultra picky as seedlings, and lost two very early (too much humidity I think) and the third this year (possibly the extreme temperature fluctuations this summer?) .
