Can anyone point me in the direction of a good plant database, one that lists like an excel spreadsheet with plant name, flowering season, time to feed, prune, position etc etc.

I have found a few on google but most appear to be specialist, for example one might be clematis and another Roses.....are there any "biggies" out there with lots of info in?

Or alternatively, is there a software someone could recommend with this kind of info in?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Steve...:)

Steve, I also had a good look around about 5 years ago and was disappointed. So like Bob I have started my own. The strength of a spread sheet is that it is very flexible, you can mould it to your own requirements.

Whilst this is not really what you were looking for, a useful database is http://www.cgf.net/plants.php . Bob Brown used to be a school master since when he opened his own nursery and has won one or more gold medals at Chelsea. He knows his plants. What I like is that he marks many of them out of 10. When looking for a new plant I often look to see which varieties he likes, and go for one with a high score.
