My beautiful Morgan who has been through so much with me in the last few years is due to be put down soon, as she has a tumour growing up her face on teh inside of her skull and slowly reaching her brain.

Morgan is very special to me, as she was right there with me in the very hard times. Very much mummys little star. :(

I want to buy a large potted plant to bury her little ratty body under, and i wandered if anyone could reccomend something that wouldnt need the soil tampering with and could go in a pot. What size would make more sense?

I would love a Rose, is there a variety that might be sensable for choice?

Whiley, why not fill a pot with spring bulbs, that way Morgan will always be remembered at this time. Having had ( and lost ) pets for over 30 years, my heart is with you, a true lover of animals.

thats a good idea too David. thank you. I'm keen on the idea of a big tub of lots of different daffs, they're my favourite, so it would be my 2 favourites. [IMG]

[IMG] You could also have a look at some small Alpine plants there are all sorts to choose from, with gravel to top the pot off. They wouldn't need much attention, just good drainage... [IMG]

Sorry to hear about Morgan. :(

I very recently burried a sweet little guinea pig, and planted a daphne on top, as it is out as this time of year, and smells divine.

Not sure how they do in pots though. I do like the idea of planting up bulbs - why don't you do both daffs and a rose (with gravel) - I love WOO's suggestions.

Whiley whatever you buy it will always remind you of your beloved baby in fact there's no better way to remember your lost love.

As Dee says if you can get a plant that has some connection with your pet be it name, colour or habit then all the more better for it.

My Flamingo Tree was planted in memory of our beloved Dude a fitting tribute to a very colourful character! [IMG] Hel.xxx.
