Plant or Weed??

Hi all

I've inherited a garden and have absolutely no gardening knowledge so looking forward to reading up on here and getting stuck in

I have this plant (or weed) growing and its doing so well it seems a shame to dig it up if its going to turn into something wonderful!!

any help identifying it would be really appreciated

its a oriental poppy , a lot of varieties could turn out like this

It likes full sun and well drained soil , if ? they like your soil which yours looks really healthy to me , dead easy to grow in fact problem free , just so you know they do die down in the summer months once they have flowered so dont worry as they will re sprout later in the spring.
