I now declare the first meeting open :D

Went to a local car boot yesterday, ostensibly because it has a park there for the kids. Came away with....

    4 Sweetcorn plants,
    6 Rockets,
    1 Cleome,
    3 Pennisetums (red ones, lovely!)
    A 3ft Callistemon (£2 bargain!)
    3 Ox Eye Daisys
    2 Monardas
2 large Osteospermums (white and yellow)
and a large grassy thing :D And still had change from £20!!!!

It was only when the Spawns came back from the park that I realised that it was going to be a bit of a squeeze in a Saxo  :D :D

My names Windy and I'm a Plantaholic :D

    Please can I join? [IMG]

You should have seen me the other week with my mum. I only went to buy some troughs to plant my petunias in that I have grown from seed and I came back with:

Black eyed susan seeds (they are growing very nicely now)
3 bell plastic things (what are they called, that you put over pots?)
    2 burgandy petunias
2 metal planters in metalic grey
    1 clematis
    3 geraniums
2 cosmos that smell like chocolate!!
1 floating plant thing for my little pond

It's cheaper than therapy this gardening addiction!!! haha [IMG]

Anyone can join Gilly......it's a 3 step plan :D The first step is admitting you've a problem...then you go into denial for several years until you can't fit anymore plants in...then you do someone elses garden :D :D :D

It's true - I can't come away from a garden stall, counter, centre etc. empty-handed. Sometimes, I don't know where I'm going to plant my purchases, but it doesn't stop me. I think that makes me eligible to join PA.

My ex boyfriend wouldn't let me go to garden centres unsupervised so I grabbed the cats and left him and the country!

Well, it was one of the reasons anyway [IMG]

:D :D I know, I know!!!!! But it was a bargain!!.......Quite what I'll do with 13 when my seedlings have matured I don't know  :D But I'm firmly ensconced in the denial stage at the moment :D
I knew I had a problem when we popped in B&Q for some glue...I'm browsing the garden section and spawn 1 cries 'Mother!! Step away from the plants, put the Bamboo down, I'm taking you home' :D :D
(Luckily, she's at scout Camp all this coming weekend...so I might pop back for that bamboo...)
