Planted carrot seeds What did I get ?

    I planted two types of carrots in buckets (both new packets of seeds) one or two what I recognise as carrots are up but where I planted each seed I have these

    Looks like all your carrots failed to germinate, but never mind you've got 2 fat hens (weeds) and the good news is that they are edible weeds!

    I'm sure Zigs will be able to post a recipe enabling you to rustle up a delicious meal using them.

        Well I bought both packets new from Lidls
        and I now have two rows of perfectly spaced fat hens :-(

        Thanks for your quick replies, I can now try and catch a crop (buy new seeds from Garden Centre )

        Sounds like the seed was contaminated with the Fat Hen then Jack.

        Cook the leaves as you would spinach, more Iron in it than Cabbage and normal spinach, so you'll soon be looking like Popeye:biggrin:
