I have been given 5 Nerine Bowdenii bulbs and reading some websites it appears they like poor soil and a sunny position which isn't aproblem for my garden. What I am confused about is the number of different bits of advice for planting times - can I plant them now? Thanks in advance for any replies-much appreciated.

Well, I would plant them after the frost are finished.
They seem to be an odd one for our climate and I think they are summer dormant.

So a real hot spot is needed, although perhaps not necessary, with the neck of the bulbs on the surface, dont bury them too deep.

You shouldn't see much action until autumn.

Been transplanting some of mine in the last week. Neck and shoulders of the bulb above ground and you're good to go
