    Hi,
I have a caravan on the east coast of Suffolk, UK, and I'm looking to plant some screening borders around my plot. Plants have to be indigenous, resistant to coastal winds and sea air, inedible by rabbits and deer, and capable of forming a screen. I would be prepared to protect them quite well when young, but they need to be reasonably fast growing once established.
All suggestions very welcome - thanks!

    Hello.

    How about Blackthorn?

Its not that fast growing, but it is tough as old boots and can withstand the sort of buffeting they're likely to get in winter.

Native, pretty in spring when its decked out in white flowers, pretty again in late summer/autumn when its covered in deep blue/purple sloes, and can be grown as a dense hedge, or left to mature to a dense canopied small tree.

        How about a Beech Hedge?.

The can be clipped to control the shape, retain their Autumn leaves and grow reasonably quickly.
Control the sides until it reaches the required height and flat-top when you get there.
It should provide a solid screen.
