    Hi again,

Time to stick some annual flowers / plants in my refurbished garden. I'd like to plant the seeds straight away in the garden rather than pot them.
Can you advice of any flower types that will grow without having to be potted first indoors?
    I'd like something colorful.

Also whats the best way of preparing for planting seeds?

So far I've got rid of weeds and turned the earth with a fork. Should I add compost.

    Thanks for your advice

Hi there G.L. it may be a little early to sow some seeds straight into the soil as yet but you will be able to find out for sure on the net or just check what it says on the seed packets.

Before you sow your seeds try and improve your soil as much as you can by digging it over quite a few time to break up the soil and add some good compost to it.

It so much better to do the improving before you plant the seeds then all you have to do is keep the plot weed free, watered and feed when needed.Good luck Hel.xxx.
