Planting Snowdrops/Minature Daffodils In Bark

    Hello,
    Looking again for more information in regards to planting the above.The issue I have is I want to plant these under a ivy tree but it has about four inches of bark surrounding the top.Do I plant under bark or go that bit deeper and plant into the soil,say another 2" into soil.I would be grateful of any advise.

    Yep Plant into the soil under the mulch.

    The conditions down there might be a wee bit on the dry side, so, although it's not normally neccessary, water them in well, and possibly when they start growing. snowdrops especially don't like drying out!
