Thinking about plants for Christmas presents, always seems to be the usual doesn't it ? ie. Poinsettia,Cyclamen,Cacti,Ivy etc.for houseplants.
Something for the garden would be an idea don't you think? Perhaps a shrub of sorts or a few bulbs, any ideas most welcome.

I love the Gaultheria, I have one in a pot outside my back door and it looks lovely.
it has red berries and when squeezed they smell like bubble gum...

I did think of potting some of these up and giving them as presents too but haven't got round to it..

Stingo don`t put your fingers in your mouth after squeezing the berries, Gaultheria ( pernettya ) are poisonous.

What about bulbs. Allium bulbs can still be planted after Christmas.

How about palms, long lasting, can be expensive, but improve each year.
    Yuccas are good as well.
