The above is all pics from my garden, old and new. It is mostly close up pics rather than "landscapes", I do tend to take more close ups, possibly because I am as blind as a bat and that is nearer to my way of seeing the world, lol.
Hope just posting a link is ok for the forum people! :)

    Thank you very much!

    Slinky:

I love taking pictures, but it is a no-no-no!-budget hobby for me, so I am actually using a rather cheap pocket camera, nothing very sophisticated. I wish I could take macro pics, but actually most of the times I find that good light is more important than the equipment one uses. A good camera helps, but the eye is more important than the camera!;)

You are welcome, not much of a tip tho. Ihave really not much wisdom in photography!

    Strongylodon:

Forgot to answer earlier, I grow several stapelias, and have no problem with them. But they spend summer outside in the garden, and bloom in open air, which is ok. A friend of mine had stapelias in her green house, a flower as small as a five euro cent coin could make the all place severely unpleasant (I am being polite here)! The trick is keeping them somewhere airy, lol.

That is very true, although I would still like to know what make and model is Ivory's camera...

Can never remember. I will fetch it.

    Fujifilm - FinePix - A340
    4.0 megapixels - 3x optical zoom

I know nothing of cameras, the only thing I checked when I bought this one is how close I could go the subject and keep it in focus. It is some 8-10 cm with this, which is nice, but not a macro, sniff. I think it costed some 75 or 80 Euros, but it's a couple of years old so I am not sure. Anyway, I am very fond of my Fine Pix (no pun intended!).

It gets sun from morning to 1 am (this pic was taken in the afternoon). SO I guess it should do, while not being ideal. The other places I could dedicate to this project are so windswept that the only exotic things I could grow there are cacti. So I guess I will try here. When I have a good hedge on the west border (10 years... eeek) things may change.
