#2 Mrs Shiney knew the name of this, but I wasn't concentrating (well, I don't remember the first part of the name, but the last part was aquilegifolium ...)

Brill. Looks exactly like what I saw and ... better news still ...[IMG] ... I have two in my garden, bought recently, which should be in flower soon :)

Thalictrum rochebrunianum looks spot on. Mrs Shiney did say "The double ones are nicer ... and available in white" so I think she was referring to the Thalictrum aquilegifolium

Spot on. Looks like it might be hardy (in mild Winters at least). Only downer was that the first site that came up in Google was http://www.strangewonderfulthings.com/214.htm and the things they sell tend to be rarer than a rare thing ... so maybe difficult to find / afford. Although folk on HTUK seem to have been exchanging cuttings, so that bodes well.

      Thanks for that SS :)

:) So it was a week ago, when a few of us GC members met at the Old Vicarage.
It was great to meet fellow members,to put faces to names and enjoy the gardens and tea and cake.
Honestly the owners Alan Grey and Graham Robeson are such characters their attire is well............out of this world......lets say very gay.:)
They have certainly put together an amazing garden, well it was my second visit and it is honestly the best most interesting garden I have ever visited with it's fabulous plants and amazing vistas.
          Thanks Kristen for organising......:dbgrtmb:
Hear are a few of my pic.

A fabulous by-colour Canna that I fell in love with, can't remember the name....Kristen?

Sorry I couldn't meet up with you all last Sunday but I was already booked for going last Wednesday and yes I have to agree with you Roders it really is beautiful. Not too large just the right size to enjoy. But so much to see and every thing was in such good condition. They have done a remarkable job - definitely I would go back again.
