Not wishing to offend anyone, but. I have joined the ranks of the cancer victims. So. There are many forms of this dreaded 'BIG C' Thankfully mine is confined to my bladder. Nope! I have no pain. This cancer, thankfully is treatable. So since being diagnosed in 2014 I have undergone some 6/7 operations. The regular check-ups can be a bit daunting, having a micro camera poked up ones, you know where.
Now another problem has arisen. No worries. Don't panic, as Cpl. Jones would say. So now the situation is. I remain suscepible to the cancer but now the prostate gland is playing up. So I have a new friend and companion, better known as a catheter.
This involves using a leg, collecting bag. Then at night, a larger bag. These bags, having been used are then placed in tiny black disposable bags and disposed of in with the household waste.

This is my point. Plastic is a problem. Now I/We are dumping medically infected plastic into landfil sites. Should not all medical waste be collected and disposed of safely?

Single use plastic is a big problem in the health care industry, but at the moment there are few alternatives; just think of all the single use syringes and needles to administer the Covid vaccine.
The good news @Mike Allen is that unless you have a urinary tract infection your waste should be sterile and not an infection hazard.

If you put waste into black bins around here it gets incinerated, they stopped landfill years ago.
