Solved Please help identify these plants.

Good morning and thankyoh so much for letting me join this forum.

My name is Damien im a new member and this is my first post so forgive me if its in the wrong area or topic.

I have a plant growing in my garden that I have never seen before and its a bit 'odd, or at least it is to me.

It started off growing with leaves a bit like daffodil but then just kept going. Out shot this centre stem that is now at least 5 or 6 feet tall.

On the top was a head that looked like a spring onion that is now starting to bloom with a spherical purple flower.

Maybe most importantly they smell just like garlic.

Can you please help me identify these and maybe explain why for the first year they have just appeared in a row in the flower bed. ( im thinking squirrels etc)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I can see that tell tale 'spike' at the top of the flowering head, which appears/forms when in bud, and is indicative of the Allium called Summer Drummer, but a close up would certainly help.

Definitely one of the ornamental Alliums! Fabulous!
