Please help identify this on my lawn...

Hi All,

I wanted some help identify this (refer to the pics) popping up overnight on my lawn. Its very dark black colour in the morning... as the sun falls on it it becomes lighter shade.


Once dry and try to rake it... sand like stuff is coming out of it.

This has been happening since last few nights... pls. help

Could well be one of the slime moulds. If so, harmless and short lived.
