Please identify this foreign plant

    hallo,

    please see picture - i have no idea what this is - it grows to about 5 feet on one stalk and produces these seeds. when they burst they seem to have lots of seeds that are spread with a fluffy 'tail'.
    Seen in a garden in Hungary, on the shores of Lake Balaton. Must be a hardy thing as winters can get to -10 celsius.
    I have an other weird and lovely thing for ID in my next post.

      Once again, many thanks, spot on! Now i know what it is i will try to grow it. i spend some time abroad every year so have time to experiment with plants i cant grow in the UK. Cant wait for next summer! thanks again, i knew there would be knowledgeable people out there, thank you internet!
