    What plant is it?
Where is it currently being kept?

The soil looks very wet - has it just been watered or could it have too much water?

Yes, I think I would be tempted to repot it into some moist soil and see if she picks up in a day or two. Certainly looks waterlogged.

Welcome to GC forums, Lexis :sign0016:

Some of the leaves look a bit "crispy"; has it been drying out and you've just given it a good drenching?

Thank you for your answers! I have just watered it, the soil was quite dry. If only I could find what type of plant that is and how to care for it. . Bought it at Homebase in this terrible state hoping to save it:(

[IMG] Lexis.. Hmm it does look very sickly.. I do wonder if it is a little hibiscus plant, but the leaves don't look quite right for the ones I have, maybe someone will recognise the leaves.. ?Do you know if it is meant to flower or is it a foliage plant.?

I think I would remove the badly discoloured leaves, then wipe the good leaves with a damp tissue.. Don't re-pot yet.. If we could try & ID it first because it may need Ericacious compost.. No label anywhere.? pit it on a cool bright window sill or the like indoors for now.. I think I would also give it a light spray of water with a few drops of lavender oil in it to kill any bugs too.

Thank you very much Marley! I will follow your advice and see what happens. Regarding the lavender oil, i have been advised that neem oil is a natural insecticide. Have you got any idea if I could use it on my plant? Thanks again!

            Hallo Lexis,
I think the plant would enjoy a gentle wash and a chance to have a bit of window sill space for a couple of weeks. All good advice you will find here in Gardeners Corner. We all like to see our plants flourish don't we?

My hunch was also hibiscus, a hardy one like Blue Bird (aka Oiseaux Bleu). I bought one that size about 10 years ago and it is now roughly twice its original size. One of my many Great Gardening Failures.
