    Hi
I planted this young dwarf plum tree in Nov 2020. I noticed some of the leaves are yellowing and am not sure what is the cause.
    Can anyone advise?
    Many thanks Matthew

Hello Matthew, have a look on the underside of the affected leaves to rule out Plum rust. I doubt it's a soil/feed deficiency as the leaves would be discoloured all over. The rest of the leaves look big, good and healthy, so just keep it well watered in long, dry spells and see what happens!

Thanks for this. I am attaching a couple of shots of the underside. There is some yellowing but I am not sure if this is just normal?
Also any advice on pruning - is it even necessary for a young tree?
      Many thanks again.

It's now August and the some of the leaves are looking very yellow, like it's already autumn. My mother in law that it was because of the hot weather. I have been watering at the root but not the leaves. There is only one plum but assume as it is only two years old we shouldn't be expecting much fruit at this stage.

thats been left to dry out and the plant has been scorched by the sun it only takes one day of dry at the roots with the sun and heat we have had ... is it in a pot ?

it will be ok but keep watered and if in a pot even if it rains water the pot every couple of days
