Poor pear tree

I mistakenly sprayed the pear tree with weedkiller a couple of years ago (yes I know always label sprayers) is this why the edges of the pear tree leaves are going black. The Apple tree I sprayed at the same time has recovered now and is doing really well again

I don't think it's from the weed killer Dave,I think it would have done for the tree by now.I'm guessing at frost damage or maybe spider mites.Someone will be along to give you a more informed answer

 

Frost can scorch the young foliage. Could also be wind damage.

That sounds encouraging we have had a lot of wind here so hopefully it is that, the weedkiller was sprayed on a couple of years ago and it looks like it has,recovered, phew
