This morning we awoke to a very poorly Cat:(...'Lucky' had been sick and messy in the house being unable to even walk to her Littertray.

Poor thing has only just managed to drink a little but didn't want the food I put for her...
She is at least 15 years old but we are unsure as she was a rescue and her previous owner was aged too.

That doesn't sound good, Paladin. :( You'd better take her to the vet.

    Hoping for the best k-l

Yes, it does sound a poorly cat. Could be kidney failure or just plain end of it's time. Went though that a couple of years back with my Prudy. Horrid and my heart goes out to you and your lovely kitty.

Has the cat been poisioned by eating vermin that has been killed by vermin pellets, the symptoms certainly point to this

Thank you all for your kind words:)
Strange thing is that yesterday she was playing like a kitten chasing paper balls:scratch:
She doesn't go far so I don't think she has eaten anything poisoned and I don't use anything bad in the garden either.
Still fast asleep at the mo and nothing to drink or eat yet......The Vet is on the cards for the morning!

Sorry to hear about Lucky Pal.

I can see her fur is a bit rough which could mean she is not feeling well
    enough to groom herself.

Hope the vet can help - do let us know.

Sad to say that the vet did a follow up visit this afternoon and Lucky was put to sleep.

I am so sorry to hear that. I guess the vet thought it was for the best. Did he say what was wrong?
    I know it hurts.

Kidney failure and severe dehydration. There was also a tumour in her abdomen.
Lucky was very weak this morning and I had to carry her back in from the garden.
