Hi folks. I`ve just been outside in the garden and found one of my tomato plants completely flopped down and another showing signs of doing so. The variety is Marmande and up until now they have been doing fine. I only have 6 plants in total and my worry is that the rest will suffer the same fate. Any ideas ? Cheers...freddy.

:)Hi Freddy are your tomatoes staked, and also have you checked to see if you have watered them enough? Also have a look at the links that Steve{Plotty} has put up on his website about the problems with the manure that has been contaminated with weedkiller.

A photo or two would possibly help as well if possible:)

A bit more info, Freddy, please, what colour are the leaves? How often are you watering? What are you feeding with?

Hi again folks. Sorry it`s taken a while to get back, been having problems with PB. Anyway, as for watering Dai, I don`t water on a regular basis as I feel they don`t really need it as yet, and as for feeding, the flowers haven`t set so I`m not yet feeding ( I presume this is right ? ). A funny thing though, the plant has now almost fully recovered so I can`t show you how it was, but here`s a pic anyway. As you can see, it`s still a bit droopy, but yesterday the leaves were flopped right down[IMG]Cheers...freddy.

Freddy,It might have been suffering from too much heat but without photos of the way they looked yesterday it is hard to tell.

They are definetlely looking better today so just keep an eye on them and the photo size looks ok to me:thumb:

Hi tweaky. Apart from just flopping down, there`s no sign of blackness or anything else that would suggest something is wrong. Hi Kandy, I was thinking the same thing, about the manure. The stuff I put on this bed was composted manure ( bagged up ) which I bought from B & Q. Funny thing, I have Dahlias in this same bed, and some of THEM don`t look great. Cheers...freddy.
