    Always been a bit of a shutter bug like many of you on here and this was a HDR of one of my black and white shots of Bothwell Castle :)

          It's a bit long winded to explain, short version is multiple pictures/layers with different exposure values to create a different kind of depth to a photograph.

            HDR is as Bex has explained.....High Dynamic Range.
            Its a good technique. I think Woo has done some, and posted on here.
            One day I will have a go when I get time :)
            I think we all aim for it in our photography (naturally), but software helps out a lot :) :)

              Much better than I could do :blue thumb:

              Three things really bug me though;
              • The bit of the tree in the foreground on the left and the smallness of the gap (in the image) between the ruin and the tree on the right. Difficult to get around them though.
              • Too much detail in the trees at the back jars with the silhouette of the trees in the foreground
              • That bit of muck on your lens almost smack bang in the middle
              I know - it is knit-picking from someone who couldn't even get close. Sorry.

                    I would definitely have cloned out the car. Did anyone notice it?
                    Are you open to critique on the photo @Bex ?

                        I knew you would have done @longk , especially as you had mentioned the detail regarding the trees and shadows. I didn't look too hard at it last night. I didn't even see the mark in the middle (screen angle). It looks like a mistake to me (maybe a result of a PS tool??).
