I have been categorising my never ending pictures and I thought it would be fun to post your ONE best before and ONE best after pictures.

I don't know if this is the best but it is certainly the most recent and near enough the same camera angle...

Wow, you do us all proud, I am going to my allotment (don't have a garden) to take a piccy today and next year, I will take another to compare. What a great idea.

I think the great thing about gardens is that they continue to evolve, may be not always quite so drastically as mine and BM's have, but a great creative outlet for plantaholics!

hey I thought this was only one shot!

Love your plan BM, I have this thing about circles, I once had a small garden and circles are great, I made it look 10 times bigger by making paths lead nowhere but look as though they did.

when we came to do waco (walnut cottage) garden, MR Wac liked big open plans and gave me LOADS of restrictions -
    no flowers
    only silver
hedge so tourists could not gaupe

did we have some fall outs!!!

I vowed that when he was in his dotage (he is 11 years older than me) and senile in his wheel chair, I would plant a sunflower bed and park him there all day (oh - he hates sunflowers)

Looking back his whimsical restrictions brought out creativeness and gives our garden character, open spaces, but gardens within gardens. How I hated him at the time, but how it has given our space a very special characteristic.

The best gardens are solutions borne out of design restrictions. I like open spaces but you have to be realistic when your plot only measures 50x25. I don't think I could have done much more to hide its modest proportions or ugly exterior beyond. Loving the sunflower bed abuse!

Come on lets see some more ... :D

Its fantastic BM a real labour of love and I bet MRS BM will always curse you cos she can't move house cos you can't take the garden with you!!!

    I jest of course.
