Thanks for all the advice folks.

Just posted twelve photos on a single post in another thread without any problem, uploaded straight from my computer. I haven't tried loading more than six photos for several months; couldn't do it before, but doesn't seem to be a problem now. Seems to be a higher limit for uploads than last time I tried. :dbgrtmb:

Just out of interest, does using the 'upload a file' tab and subsequent uploads use more forum resource than just putting up the link to something like Photobucket?

That's a good question Freddy. I would say that it doesn't make any difference because the photo's are still being loaded on to GC, but logic is a funny thing and can bite back. :)

          Hiya Sheal :blue thumb:
I'm not so sure. I think with using the 'upload' facility, GC has to host any pic, whereas using a link (like Photobucket IMG) it isn't actually hosted. Of course, I could be talking nonsense (wouldn't be the first time), which is why I asked the question :)

It does, but it's better to have the pics embedded here than to look back at old threads where half the photobucket links have gone

              Aye up Zigs :dbgrtmb:

It did cross my mind that the shear weight of numbers (uploaded pics) might be a reason why the site is relatively slow to respond at times? :dunno:
