Potato Problem

Hi,
I have just lifted my early potatoes and they have a funny growth all over them i wanted to see if anyone knew what it was and whether they are safe to eat.

Potato scab, just peel em. Soil too limey or dry

I thought i kept them wet enough oh well food for thought, how do i de-lime?

No worries Marc, just had a look at your local geology, are you on the limestone, schist or sandstone bed ?
