Today was the day for another potato sack harvest.
One sack...three seed potatoes and here is the result.
    Not exactly a bumper crop!

What a shame Capney. Not exactly a bumper crop right enough.
What variety of potato was it.
The ones which did best for me in buckets this year were International Kidney and Colleen. Red Duke of York was very poor.
    Charlotte have always been good.
One year I got 6lbs of Rooster from a bucket but usually get 3 - 4 lbs potatoes.
How did your other potato sacks do ?

They are Vivaldi ( the skinny potato )
The accent I planted in the sacks are not really any better.
I still have one more sack and dustbin to harvest, Im hope the dustbin turns out better. I shall video and post as usual.

Sorry to hear that. My Marshall's Gro-Sack and very-large-pot (guessing, 30" dia.) have all been good, yield just fine, good flavour. I grew Charlotte, Foremost and Maris Peer. I put 4" of manure in the bottom, then tubers, then 4" of multipurpose compost, then earthed up with soil. (The whole lot, mixed with some further "spent" multipurpose compost from pots that had failed, or finihsed, made a nice couple of barrowloads of material good enough for potting on a bunch of herbaceous plants that I wanted to put in 2L - 4L pots until planting in the Autumn)

I've bought some Maris Peer to replant the Sacks and Pots for XMas.
