Potato yield

    Hiya, We've just dug up our red duke of yorks and don't really have much to show for it. How much is yield a reflection of variety, or does it depend on soil condition/environment etc? I wished I'd planted the whole bag, rather than giving some away. I thought I would be snowed under. Mind you, they tasted nice fried with sausages for brekkie today. :thumb:

    I've grown Red Duke of York and was disappointed with the yield - so maybe it's the variety.
