    Hello all
Just had my first crop of potatoes
Charlotte which I fund to be dry boiled and for chips ?
International kidney I also found dry boiled a and for chips ?
Now I had a huge crop of foremost for chips they were fantastic
I have more of all 3 above still in my potatoes bags
And seems to be growing very well
All were planted at end of April
Can I leave the rest for many months in the bags and harvest them say late September October ?
as some of them are starting to droup and one is going yellow
    Thank you paul

      Hi Paul,

Sorry, your post dropped off the radar.

Yep, if you leave them for 2 weeks or more after the halms have dropped then they develop thicker skins and keep better.

I don't often make chips so cant give an opinion there, but I save the water I boil the potatoes in & make gravy to pour back over them.

Neither of the first two are really a classic "chipping spud", make a great meal boiled with a salad though, of course its all down to personal opinion. :)

Some people roast Charlottes, not keen myself though, International Kidney is what we call a Jersey royal.

      Never knowingly tried Foremost.

Ziggy: Potato starch for the gravy here too, yum. :dbgrtmb:
