Would it be a good idea to remove tendrils from potatoe plants to stop the flowering or should i just leave them on as i have heard it is no good to the plant and when you remove them it puts it's energy into producing potatoes, Is this true or BS,

    TG.

Exhibition growers remove the flower from Potato plants, to get every last ounce of energy into the Tubers.

But if it were that important commercial growers would have found a way to do it by now :thumb: so pull them off it you want to, and have time, and don't have too many plants ... but don't worry otherwise

I never take them off Germinator - and neither do the farmers. But if you have that kind of time to spare you can do it and you might get a small increase in yield. I think if the difference was anything significant the farmers round here would have worked out a way to do it long ago.
