Potatoes :S

    hello, my potatoes started flowerin last week. I was wondering how long before i dig them up??? is it when all the foilage dies back?? help appreciated :) thanks x

    What did you plant ? First earlies should be a reasonable size (hen's egg) after flowering. Second earlies late summer. Maincrop leave until the tops (haulms) brown and die back in the autumn.

    Hi V & F man. If they are earlies, then I`d wait until the flowers drop off then dig one up (that`s what I did). I found that the first one or two roots produced smallish (but delicious) spuds. Cheers...freddy.
