I have tried container spuds for the first time this year and I covered them completely . They're huge now and the first flower buds have formed on the red ones.

Hi all, little off spot here. If you know me you will know i'm new to gardening & doing it in pots. Well, last year we got some big ones (pots!) & hubby had some veg in there.

This year he says to me, use that tub (pot) it's empty apart from the soil of course. So i did, planted a few seedlings. The next thing i know is there's some leaves coming up nothing like mine. Asked husband, he says 'oh yes, that's potatoes'. What!!!!!!! So now we laugh even though he told me Not to tell you all about it. I said leave it if we get pots out of it good, i love home grown stuff. But it was not what is was supposed to be in the container.

Enjoy all i say. Not very helpful but hope it gives you a smile.

    cheers
