Hi guys please bear with me as i've just started my garden trying to have it as a stress reliever boy was i wrong.
Right heres me problem i've some Swifts going in a pot bag but this morning we had a mildish frost, got home from work at 4.00 to find the leaves have gone very dark but also slightly translucent. Should i be worried or will they recover? I've covered them tonight. Frost kinda caught me out.

    Thanks

Hi Firsttimer. Your situation is not ideal.
Potato leaves are not frost resistant but if yours have had a mild nip I think they will be allright. The plants will put up new shoots.
I hope I'm right - my tattie buckets are standing out there with shoots up and it will defo be frosty tonight.
    Good luck to us both.

Keep earthing them up as the leaves emerge from the soil, the reason is mainly to encourage more tubers to grow although it is an easy way to get a couple of nights protection against the frost. :thumb:
