Potted plants

    It's only taken 40 years, but I finally realised that there's a simple way to make life easier when re-potting large plants and climbers :biggrin:
    Usually, you have to lay the plant on it's side or even tip it upside down to get the rootball out of it's pot (not easy with tall plants), and certainly not good for the plant to tug on the stem. But.... if initially the pot is lined with a wide strip of strong mesh or netting, the whole thing can be lifted out relatively easily. I've been experimenting with some indestructible plastic shade netting today, so will find out how well it works next summer. :fingers crossed:

      Interesting, I guess you could use landscape fabric.
