Potting or direct sowing

    Hi everyone! I bought sunflower seeds as the slugs ate most of my others but is it better to start them off in pots or sow them directly into the ground as I read they dont like being transplanted.:cnfs:

    You might like to try sowing them in peat or fibre pots so that you can protect them when they germinate and start to grow and minimise root disturbance when they are ready for planting out.

    Definately pots to get them started.
