potting soli mixture

    Please can anyone tell me what's the best soil mixture to pot on cuttings that can develop in a greenhouse before putting outside in the garden.

    No strict mixture Amateural. Just well draining so I put in plenty of sharp sand. Keep them humid so put them in a plastic bag for a while. You could buy commercial John Innes potting compost if you are unsure but I prefer to mix my own.

    Sorry I just re-read this. I take it now that you mean after rooting? Just use a general compost once they have rooted.

    I use 6 parts general purpose 1part co**** sand and 1 part vermiculite.
