preparing for winter

    I know its still the height of summer...well, not if you look outside!
    anyway, my veggie patch is already starting to look bare so I want to look ahead to winter.
    Any ideas welcome as I have never grown winter crops before...I can begin sowing now.

    Right now is good for sowing spring greens - I grow Offenham cabbage.
