Thought I'd share a book I bought, as last year, harvesting and knowing how to store fruit and veg etc, was an unknown. We have other storage books, but this one is called The Preserving Book (a DK book) by Lynda Brown. On http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk the book is currently £5.99 (RRP £16.99 - which is the price it was in the garden centre - and I'm glad I waited to check for it on-line before buying it).

Perhaps it's more useful for those of us who are novice allotment and edible gardening gardeners - but still a very nice book :-) Full of lovely recipes and preserves etc for all kinds of crops!
