just bought some lovely plum tomatoes in the Farmers' Market. (He didn't have the nice stripey ones! They were already sold out...)
Anyway - I'd like to keep the seeds and grow some from seed for next year - does anyone have any advice about how to do this? I usually buy tomato plants rather than seeds, I'm not very good at growing from seed! Perhaps there is a web page - or I could buy a book??

Someone gave me this link in answer to a similar question from me. There are seed saving tips about lots of veggies at the end of most pages, and some sheets you can download.
If you go to amazon and put in "seed saving" you'll find lots of books.
    Have fun.

    Hi all,

I always preserve my seeds by keeping them in the fridge. Had now problems and germination is always very high! Some seeds will deteriate quicker than others. Never buy old parsnips...their suffer pretty badly for the effects of time.

Many of you may know this already. But good seeds don't float on water.
