    Hi all

The trees that i thought were apple appear to be pear after all!! Yum, but....
They are becoming covered in black spots. Some on the leaves look like those pictured in an earlier post which i think mentioned scab? But no mention was given of spots on the fruit. Will these fruits be unsuitable to eat once they ripen? My nan suggested cutting the affected branches off completely, which I bagan to do until i realised that the problem was more wide spread that I originally thought. I'm trying to garden as organically as poss, but would hate to lose them all. Will post a pic as soon as batteries have charged (again!).
Any help, as always, very much appreiciated.

    Sarah

Pears suffer with fungi attacks and some of the blame is host trees that reinfect.
