    Hello All!

I've been away for such a long time ... but it's nice to be back!

Anyway ... I bought trailing geraniums from the local garden centre. Planted them in the windowboxes - south facing, good quality compost, watered (but not fed). The leaves are healthy and green and growing well. The problem is when the flower buds form they quite literally are brown and dried up .. DEAD! They simply 'rub off' .... So, what's wrong with the plants? April was hot - this month back to 15 degs ... I'm guessing the change in temperatures have something to do with it. Or am I just impatient?

    Regards
    Winnie

Can I suggest you are Over-watering.
We put pea gravel in the bottom, grit in the compost and water weekly at most.
If the soil feels moist they should not need watering.
If the pot is standing on a saucer type base and there is water on it then too much water was applied.
Theres every chance the rootball will rot if not corrected quickly

Nope not over watered. Had no problems whatsoever in the past. Same supplier too. Same position on front of house. But thanks for your comments!

      Regards

Grow your own, next time my guess is they have been forced, become soft stemmed and are in poor condition and very stressed no doubt.
