I find when GC appears to take exception to an image file for no apparent reason, simply saving it as another file and then trying again very often works.

I continue to have issues, with my new camera. the old one still works. think its the size. but if download it from my facebook to my computer, then it will work to upload it here. or I can photo bucket it from my cell and get it that way. In general, it has to be an awful special photo for me to send it here. other forums can directly take my new camera. that is life.

When you say 'directly take' do you mean straight from the memory card?

I always upload my photos to a file on the computer. From there I just drag them into GC. It works fine. :noidea:

Picture files have to be 800 x 600 pixels or less, and below 2mb
Your new camera is more than likely 24mb

My camera is set to 2048 x 1546 but the file size is only 1.5mb. So it takes them OK. :noidea:

As I never print the photos I don't need it more than 1.5mb so I can get plenty more on the memory card when I go on holiday. :dbgrtmb:

I've just run into this problem, I resize my pictures to about 800*600. Not sure at the moment whether it is due to a recent windows 10 update, a Firefox update or within the GC end of things.

I've just loaded pics that are 1000 x 750 from my computer with no problem. Sometime last year Admin altered the sizing to take larger pictures but I can't remember the largest size we can use.

Just tried on a different machine running Windows 7 and a slightly older Firefox version than my home set up and it works. So problem could be with my Windows 10.

@Jiffy If you emailed a pic to a GC mod/admin/member so they could attempt posting, it would determine whether the problem lies with your images or elsewhere.

I've done that in the past after being informed on this forum that it must be something to do with my hardware/browser setup.

I tried saving and posting your image (win 10/IE) and got this, don't know where that .mht extension came from. Copying images on GC and re-posting has never been a problem before.
