I have 2 Aconitums in my garden, one in semi-shade and one in a more sunny position. Over the last few weeks both have developed black leaves and they look as if they are nearly dead now. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

 Hi Lorna, I am not sure at all as I have not experienced that, but in saying that until they are established as a clump they can be susceptible to the weather & planting positions... Naturally they would grow in rather the same conditions as Foxgloves on the edge of woodlands etc.. They cannot however tolerate any of these conditions.. Exposed, cold or hot and sunny locations; Does not tolerate very dry or very wet soils either. So our weather could be playing a part in this...
