has anyone else had problems with the arrival of the Ã?£6 bins promoted through local councils or is it only me?? I ordered mine at the end of april and still havent had it. 'there was a big demand' and 'it will be with you in 10 days' were just 2 of the phone calls and numerous emails I have received from the company through which they are being promoted. To make matters worse a colleague ordered one just a few weeks ago and has had his. the reason- he lives in a different postcode area and its down to the supplier!!!The latst is- i'm sorry but we have no idea when you will get one'. Its ridiculous! there, got that moan off my chest [IMG]

Yes, worth ringing the supplier or LA to chase. I had to ring few times. And then again for missing broken bits

Mine did take a while to arrive, but was thrilled with it for the price when I got it. It is my second and i happily turned the old one out into it to give it all a good airing. I also got a small bin (free) for in the house that was excellent, less likely to waste disposal my tea bags and veg trimmings now, it came with some biodegradable bags which have been great, but i dont think i shall be spending the £7 on replacement ones when they have all gone, i shall just tip the bin out and give it a good wash.

At the moment we have to put our rubbish in black backs and recyclables in a small blue plastic box (box supplied by LA). We have been told that we shall all be getting three large wheelie bins with different coloured lids that will be collected different weeks. The colours refer to what you have to put in them. We won't have to pay for the bins. Some people in the next local authority have already got them and some like them and others hate them.

    We'll wait and see.
