problems with logging onto broadband

Today i came to log into broadband and it says no page to display, called tiscali he talked me through how to get back on to broadband. It has happened 3 times since have to go into control panel then connect to broadband and the rigmarole of getting back in is terrible, why all of a sudden is this happening, do you think it is tiscali broadband service.Even my password is not even saved on my system anymore. logging in is a nightmare now. :confused:

 

are you talking about your new computer or your old one Rosa........if its the older one, then i guess it is the settings getting confused.......

To be honest Rosa you have had a lot of problems with that computer, and i really aint surprised.

It may need re-installing at some stage.

 

my old one when im saying old it is just over 1 year old, how do you re-install as i havnt a clue pc medic, i was thinking it had something to do with tiscali as they have been doing work on their systems and i think they still are.

 

Hi Rosa im on Tiscali and had some problems similar to yours,only in the last few days, the connections at times can be somewhat erratic to say the least

 

Hi Macleaf, I thought it was tiscali as they have been doing some upgrading to their system just recently. I am waiting to hear from them as i want to up-grade my broadband to that new max 8mb, They said it should be available august and it is august now so it should be available soon, they e-mailed me earlier and are going to respond within 7 days.

My brothers son is well into computers when i spoke to them last night that is when it came out about the broadband mb and he apparently has changed to a higher mb on broadband as he has just bought a lap top as well as his pc.
so got to thinking iff you cant beat them join them :D :D

 

Why do you bother to log off. We have two computers networked and never either switch them off or log off.

Unless you are downloading music, films etc there is not much point paying for higher meg. At the moment BT can only supply 1 mg here but unless my son is downloading the speed is OK. I don't have to sit and wait for pages to load.

hi barbaranne, If i dont log off and dont use the pc for some time it goes to sleep and is terrible to get it back up.
When i get the higher meg i will be paying the same money as i am paying now.
I dont download music or films but am starting to download a lot of pictures from different sites dont know if that will make a difference as i have just recently started doing this and for the same money why not take the extra meg of them, why should new customers just enjoy that priveledge, they should be looking and keeping their excisting customers happy, that my view and take on it. have a good day.
