I took some photos today but they have not come out .
They seem to have 2 or 3 photos in one.
    I think it's the card , hope it's not my camera .
I have tried to take some more with a different card and they seem O.K.
Any ideas what it might be.
It's not an old 1GB card I have only had it about 6 months it was fine until today

It looks as though the picture has been written to the card starting in the wrong place,if you look closely at either pic it looks as though it has been cut in two and the two parts swapped from left to right and vice versa.

Very wierd, not seen anything like that before, have you tried formatting the card? It will delete the ones you've already taken on that card and have the effect of resetting the card. If that does not work then it definitely sounds like a faulty card unless you find it hapening with other cards as well.

I've never come across this before.
All cards do have a shelf life.If your putting loads of images through it on a regular basis, then one day it will break. Not normally after 6 months though.
Is it a card from a quality company,i.e sandisk,or is it a cheaper type?If its from ebay,be aware that there are lots of fake sandisk etc cards floating around, and these just wont last.
I'll try to find a link to a site that shows the difference between fake and genuine cards.
I diverse...sorry.If its a cheaper card, and other cards work ok,bin it and forget it.

    Joe.

As recommended above try a reformat of the card Lyn. If that doesn't do it invest in a new one and look at the link Joe has posted - there's a wide variation in prices, but you have to be careful!

    Thank you for the info.
How do I reformat the card. :o
I got the card while on holiday in Gran Canaria in January so it probably is a fake.

Lyn - there should be an option to reformat the card in one of the menus in the camera. I've tried to find an on-line user manual but no luck. Just been reading reviews of the Panasonic - looks a very good piece of kit!!

    Thanks Dave.
I've had the manual out and found how to do the formatting.
Just took some photos and they seem fine.
I have no idea what happened.
I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it's not the card many thanks for your help.
Now the manual is out it is staying out.
I really must learn how this camera works.
There is so much on it I have never even tried.
Now the summer is drawing to a close I won't be in the garden so much.
It is my winter mission to master this camera. :o :D
Thanks again everyone for your help and advise

I use an FZ10, I've had it over four years and see no reason to change it. The Leica lenses are superb.
